I think this breakdown needs some work. Currently it's:

I think this should be process-based and not tool-based so hand tools should be moved or renamed. I'm not sure where it should go or how it should go.



I propose add the following:


Additive Manufacturing


Sheet Metal Fabrication (would cover cutting, bending, stamping)


Injection Molding (including casting here)


Composites manufacturing (and moving Molds linked above into here)



I'd also like each of these sections to point to the US cost report cost tables and talk about how each is costed. Bring it from just industry knowledge back home to formula-specific. I haven't got a clue how Cost is done in other competitions so I hope we can have others to contribute in that way.

PCB is a good one that I didn't think about before. Perhaps we should name it something specific such as "PCB manufacturing" and talk about laminating, traces, masking, etc and list low quantity PCB suppliers? PCB design is a whole other animal that should have its own page.
