Hey Emily, it looks like the Internal Combustion category has been removed from the Powertrain category. Could this get fixed?
Side note, I feel like there is a lot of drivetrain stuff that is in both IC and EV categories. Perhaps we could make a third category under Powertrain so that everything is either EV, IC, or Drivetrain?
looks like the category tag got deleted when the page got blanked, i just popped the tag back in, should be fixed. A third category might be nice
Hey Emily, can we get some of the inline cleanup tags like Template:Citation needed or some of the others here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed ?
Hi, I just added "Off The Shelff Battery Management Systems" under "Battery Management Systems".
My idea is to give a quick explanation on each of the Commercial BMS that are commonly used by FS Teams and add a List of those teams that at some time used those BMS. This list would be in order to give teams a quick link to other teams that used the hardware and ask for some help if needed.
How do you see this? Do you think is doable?
Thanks in advance.
Crap, I thought I responded to this. I think this is a great approach. A hyperlink to the team's contact info could be useful but probably not necessary since we have the Teams page to serve that purpose.
Maybe it'd be nice to have a general category for engineering tools. Ie. CFD, (structural) FEA, track time simulation, vehicle dynamic simulation, engine simulation, etc.
I currently wrote a more general simulation statement on the CFD page, but I think that might be better placed in a general computer simulation page. Thoughts?
Hi, I think it would be nice a category named "Scrutineering" under the main category "Competition".
We could then add categories for General, EV, CV, DV.
Sure - I can make the scrutineering category.
The scrutineering article can have sections for general info and then the breakdown per class in each section. However, having categories named "EV" "DV" etc won't work as MediaWiki isn't smart enough to distinguish a sub-category as its own unique thing. If someone were to make an "EV" category for elsewhere in the site, both categories would be the same.
The scrutineering article can have these distinguishers or perhaps have their own articles called "EV Scrutineering" and so forth, but I am not sure it's necessary to categorize them uniquely.
Oh, I see you made it, nice! The layout you have proposed looks good. I'm going to create redirects for "technical inspection" and such so they all point to scrutineering.
where do you think this page should go?

I made a new category, but it looks like it got deleted.
Hey, can we get the math extension? https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Math, super useful
Hey,
Whats your thoughts on pages on materials commonly used in FSAE? I do alot of the work with CFRP for my team and I'm just thinking if would be good to have pages on materials such as CFRP to show this is what teams have used it for, why and heres some basic of how to do it (versus people just trying to google to understand, which based on my experience is a nightmare.) Just wanted to get your input to have an idea what direction you want this wiki to take so I can help out.
Thanks,
I've setup a template that is a very basic version of what wikipedia (and others) use to link from a subheading to the main page relating to a given topic. It is invoked using
{{Main|Page Name}}
to give a consistent look to any of these types of links. I plan to later expand this to allow multiple links and links to specific sections, but I thought this would be sufficient for now. I was hoping to get this added to the getting started page, or any feedback if you don't think it's ready for primetime yet. Thanks!
Excellent, thank you. I'll create a Templates page and we'll start listing them there.
