tripod vibration & losses

discuss tripod orbiting vibration, maybe just note it exists and provide link to equations

EV and ICE specific section?

ev drivetrain has to have unique components, like in hub planetary gearboxes, and ice stuff like internal gearbox, separate sections?

  • Geometric gearing
    • phi - i_(n-1)/(i_n) <= n_(max)/n_(T_max)
  • progressive
    • phi_G = phi_G1 * phi_G2
      • G1 and G2 are predefined constants
    • i_(z-1) = i_(z) * phi_G1
      • bruh moment, will likely just move to own page for full expl.
    • CBR600RR is progressive

Information for/from other sections

There are some similarities between the final drive/differential for Internal Combustion and Electric vehicles, should we make a separate page just for final drive, link the electric section here (once it's been created), or just copy/paste?

Also as was mentioned in the article, there is overlap between the electronics and validation sections, I think (as mentioned by someone else) we should add a link to the appropriate article and leave a high level simple explanation.

Definitely need another page for Differentials

definitely agree that the topics that are equivalent between EV/ICE should get their own page and just be linked to both. I think it should be reasonable that drivetrain is similar enough between ev/ice that one article can fit in both, not sure about direct drive/ in hub motors, but it shouldn't be that hard to tackle honestly

testing/validation definitely deserves an article by itself, its so general, i think the bit in the drivetrain section should be specified to testing procedures and stretegies for drivetrain and leave all the philosophising about validation to its own article
