The term "hybrid chassis" is a bit of a catch-all term, describing all chassis that have both large monocoque and tube frame sections. The typical hybrid chassis has a monocoque front end (until the end of the cockpit/main hoop) and a tube frame rear end. These sections are typically bolted together.
